CNY First Responder Gets Recognized for Over 35 Years of Service
Talk about putting your time in... he's been doing this his whole life!
Meet Steve Glauer
Even though Steve hasn't been in Central New York all his life, he has been a first responder for most of it. He's served as a volunteer fire fighter for the past 37 years, first joining when he was 16 years old.
As a traveling nurse, Steve hasn't been able to stay in one town or city for too long. But the one place he always calls home is the fire hall. Glauer currently serves as a proud member of the Holland Patent Fire Department.
He takes great pride in his care delivery and is always willing to help in emergencies.
Thank you Steve for your years of service. Whether it's in Central New York or not, your dedication to protecting your community has never gone unnoticed. You've proven being a firefighter is in your blood, and that won't change anywhere you live.
Nominate a First Responder
Do you know a first responder that deserves to be recognized? Tell us about someone who should be honored in Central New York - a firefighter, police officer, EMT, forest ranger, paramedic, DEC officer, military, rescuer, front-line worker, or any other person first on the scene.
Include their name, a picture, and why they should be recognized during 'First Responder Friday." We'll honor one first responder every Friday and as a way to say thank you, we'll give them a Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
