CNY Volunteer Proudly Serves as a 4th Generation Fire Fighter
Here's a dedicated fire fighter following in his families footsteps.
Meet Justin Carroll
Justin is a proud volunteer for the Oriskany Falls Fire Department. After living in Florida for a short time, the first thing he did when he came back was join the fire department.
Though he's only been with the crew for about a year, his roots in the department go much farther back.
Runs in the Family
Justin has a long line of family members in the Oriskany Falls Fire Department. His great Grandfather was there in the 50's, his grandpa in the 70's to the 90's, his dad in the 2000's, and now the hat falls on him.
Being a 4th generation fire fighter, he has always looked up to his dad and grandfathers for what they did in the department. It's like home to him, and he's even signed up to take an EMT class to help out even more.
Another big surprise for Justin, it's almost his birthday! He turns 25 on December 3rd, so Happy Birthday Justin and thank you for all that you do. You put a smile on everyone's face and you are a proud leader of your community.
From his friends and family in Florida & New York, congrats and know that we love and appreciate you!
Nominate a First Responder
Do you know a first responder that deserves to be recognized? Tell us about someone who should be honored in Central New York - a firefighter, police officer, EMT, forest ranger, paramedic, DEC officer, military, rescuer, front-line worker, or any other person first on the scene.
Include their name, a picture, and why they should be recognized during 'First Responder Friday." We'll honor one first responder every Friday and as a way to say thank you, we'll give them a Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
