Cedarville Fire Chief Strives to Make His Community a Better Place
Fire chiefs are the pride of their community. Dan here is the perfect example.
Meet Dan Coffin
Here's a leader always looking towards the future of his community. Being there for 27 years, Chief Coffin is proud to be a long serving member of the Cedarville Fire Department.
Dan does so much for the community. Every year he helps host the Halloween and Christmas party, not to mention the huge parade of lights. All of these being incredible events that bring everyone together.
One of his greatest traits is his ability to teach. He takes great pride in teaching fire prevention, no matter who he's working with. Dan makes the station feel like a comfortable learning environment to everyone there, young and old.
Dan Coffin has put a lot of time and dedication into our department and other fire service groups... He wouldn't have it any other way.
Thank you Chief for all you do for your community. You're a true leader and an inspiration to everyone in and out of Cedarville.
Nominate a First Responder
Do you know a first responder that deserves to be recognized? Tell us about someone who should be honored in Central New York - a firefighter, police officer, EMT, forest ranger, paramedic, DEC officer, military, rescuer, front-line worker, or any other person first on the scene.
Include their name, a picture, and why they should be recognized during 'First Responder Friday." We'll honor one first responder every Friday and as a way to say thank you, we'll give them a Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
