Austin Jenckes' time on 'The Voice' may be over but he's grateful for the boost it gave  his music career and the friends he made along the way, including coach Blake Shelton.

Austin learned a lot of things while on #TeamBlake but he says the most important thing was to stay true to who he was. 'Be yourself. Blake didn't push me into any genre of music. He made me feel comfortable enough to do my own thing. I feel honored and blessed for the time I got to spend on the show.'

Even though Austin won't be giving Blake his 4th Voice win in a row, he stays in contact with his coach. 'We've been back and forth on email.  I'm just trying to make sure I don't bug him.'

Austin heads out on the road before recording some new music. 'I have a West Coast tour booked.  Then I'll head back into the studio to decide what kind of album I want to make.'

You can get updates on Austin's tour and hear music he recorded before his time on 'The Voice' at AustinJenckes.com. I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to hearing what Austin will release next.
