17 years after her hilarious role as the rapping granny, Rosie, in Adam Sandler's 'The Wedding Singer,' 101-year-old actress, Ellen Albertini Dow, has passed away. You may also remember her from 'The Wedding Crashers' starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Hunt.

According to US Weekly,

Dow, whose acting career didn’t begin until she was in her 70s, died Monday, May 4, her agent confirmed to Deadline. Honing her acting chops in New York City with the help of Michael Shurtleff and Uta Hagen, Dow worked with mime Marcel Marceau in Paris before moving to California to teach drama at Los Angeles City College. When her husband, Eugene Dow, established the theater department at Pierce College, she transferred there to teach, and did so until retiring in 1985.

You may also remember Dow from such works as Sister Act, Golden Girls, and Seinfeld. She played some of the most iconic "Granny" style characters and she lived a long life. I will always remember her killing The Sugarhill Gang's 'Rapper's Delight.' RIP Ellen!
