New York restaurants are going to the dogs. A new law will allow you to enjoy your food with Fido.

Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill, allowing restaurants to have dogs at outdoor dining establishments in New York state.

All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier and each restaurant owner can decide whether or not allow 'dining with dogs.'

"Many restaurant owners wish to accommodate customers with canine companions but are currently prohibited from doing so by the state health code. This legislation provides owners with choice, provides consumers with the option, boost business revenue and ensure safety standards are followed."

Gives new meaning to the 'doggy bag.'
