Central New York Residents Without Water After Water Main Break

What's up with the water in Clinton? First we had little to no pressure early this morning. Then it just disappeared.

It appears National Grid was directional drilling near Byrne Dairy on Route 5, in Kirkland and hit a water main.

"Our area is experiencing a water outage due to a water main break on Route 5. Do not drink or cook with discolored water," the Clark Mills Fire Department advised.

Mohawk Valley Water Authority crews are on scene. Depending on the severity of the break, residents could be without water for hours or an extended period of time.

You don't realize how much you use water until you don't have it.
