Central New York fights childhood cancer with St Jude Walk September 15. The month is National Cancer Awareness month and St Jude Children's Research Hospital hosts fun - run walks across the country. And the group, Mohawk Valley for St Jude makes sure CNY is well represented.
The St Jude Wal/Fun Run is September 15 at Whitesboro High School. registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the walk/run begins at 9. It's open to all ages and is just $10 for age 6 and up, free for 5 and under. You can join an existing team or invite friends and family to create your own team.
If you're unable to attend the event, you can still help eliminate childhood cancers by making a donation online, it will be included as part of the Whitesboro Walk. All monies raised help St Jude continue their groundbreaking work in the fight against childhood cancers. A family never receives a bill from the hospital. All treatments, transportation to and from the Research Hospital, meals and housing are covered through your generous donations.
