The Utica Comets have finished reviewing all of the fan surveys from the 2016-2017 season and are making a few changes that should make fans happy.

First off, one of the biggest complaints was the sound system inside the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Fans familiar with it know that there are certain areas of the Aud where you could barely hear the announcers.

The Comets say that all speakers inside the Aud are being re-calibrated and reprogrammed to give fans a more even and enjoyable listening experience.

Next, Comets officials have decided to do away with the reward system that offered fans prizes at games. Instead, an expanded promotional schedule will cater to season ticket holders, encouraging more people to buy season tickets and offering those fans special interactive events where fans can meet players and coaches.

You'll see a new Comets in-game host for the upcoming season. Former Commette Natasha will take over hosting duties for the 2017-2018 season.

The Comets also say to be on the lookout for new and exciting merchandise coming in the fall. We can expect to see 5th anniversary apparel and a lot more.

When it comes to food, it seems like Comets officials know that fans love to have plenty of options. Stay tuned throughout the fall as construction is completed for announcements on new concession options in the concourse and throughout the Aud.

The Utica Comets will play their season home opener on Wednesday, November 1, when they host the Rochester Americans.
