American Idol celebrated its 500th episode as the Top 3 performed three songs; one chosen by Randy Jackson, one judges pick and their own choice. Caleb Johnson had the moment of the night, despite vocal problems, during his performance of Led Zepplin's 'Dazed & Confuse,' slamming the mic stand, getting a standing ovation from Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.

Caleb Johnson

Caleb Johnson suffered a vocal injury but was given a green light by the Idol doctor. His first performance of 'Never Tear Us Apart,' had JLo saying 'You on your worst night are better than people on their best night.' The second choice of 'Demons' was also an average performance but it was his final song that may have landed Caleb in the final two. Not only was Caleb able to hit crazy notes in 'Dazed & Confused,' he had JLo and Keith on their feet, rocking out. To put his stamp on the song, Caleb slammed the mic stand on the stage and dropped his mic, giving one of the best Idol moments of the season.

Jena Irene

Jena Irene had her own issues. Her first two performances were under par but she proved why she deserved to be in the finals with 'Creep.'

Alex Preston

Alex Preston had his own up and down moments, getting lukewarm reviews on two of his three performances. It was his version of 'Stay' that had the judges applauding his talent.
