I've always believed that no matter where you live you need a good bartender and a good mechanic.  And when it comes to picking your favorite songs you need something that reminds you of home, friends, love and having a good time.  So with that in mind, here's my favorite five from 2013.  What's yours?

While these are in no particular order, I'll start with Kenny Chesney's 'Pirate Flag.'  Not that I'm famous or rich like Kenny, but I left the hills and hollers of home to explore the world before ending up loving life in CNY.

Blake Shelton's "Boys 'Round Here' reminds me of my friends back home, although not all of them chew tobacco, most of them do spit.  Never did understand that.

My favorite love song of the year, 'Better Dig Two' is somewhat strange I suppose, but I have this thing for Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry.  And there's no deeper love than "'Til Death Do Us Part."

Somewhat like Alfred E. Neuman (what me worry?), Kip Moore's 'Beer Money' is a great philosophy on life.  No matter what happens, smile and keep 'er movin'.

Last and certainly not least is, Kacey Musgraves' 'Blowin Smoke.'  I just like this song and Kacey for that matter.  And one of my BIGGEST pet peeves are people that moan and groan about life but never do anything to change things.

So for what it's worth, there's my top five favorite songs of 2013.  What are some of your favorites?  Leave us an answer below.
