We talked to Sheri Thrasher, one of the event coordinators. Here's the story on Bark For Life:

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer. The event also honors those dogs who have beaten their cancer.

Bring your canine friends and join us for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, and games. The event is May 10th at MVCC in Utica. The cost to register is $10 in advance, and $15 day of.

Dogs must have their shot paperwork with them the day of the event.
