With all the craziness going on in the world today, it just hit me recently that I hit 30 this October. I'm not the type of person to usually ask for gifts, but there is one thing I want to have happen before I turn 30.

I want to ride shotgun in a DMC DeLorean. Let me explain...

Growing up, I was absolutely obsessed with the Back To The Future trilogy. I'm still obsessed. I've probably seen the movies around a million times. The movies provided hope, wonder, and my early fascination in science. It got me interested in a young age in time travel, movie special effects, and amazing acting. It also got me picturing a alternate timeline where I would give myself a sports almanac from the future.

When my wife and I started dating, I would constantly tell her that she was my density, a George McFly goof up. I quote Biff Tannen on the regular and say "That's about as funny as a screen door on a battleship" or "Why don't you make like a tree, and get out of here." At this point, Back To The Future is part of my DNA. I've taken my nerdy passion to a whole new level by joining at least 10 fan supported Facebook Groups, and even others on Reddit. I'm highly invested in the series.

How Does This Relate To Needing A Car Ride Now?

Back To The Future part one revolves around Marty traveling 30 years into the past. He makes the first time jump from 1985, to 1955. In the second movie they jump 30 years into the future from 1985 to 2015, then 30 years back to 1955. A lot of the movie revolves around the concept of 30. It's a nice round number as Doc Brown would say. That's part one of wanting this to happen....

Part two is simple- Have you ever seen a DeLorean? Even if the car isn't modified to look like the movie time traveling machine, the car is absolutely stunning. It's classic Americana, and absolutely in our pop culture.

The DMC DeLorean (often referred to simply as the "DeLorean") is a sports car manufactured by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) for the American market from 1981 to 1983. The car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and stood out for its gull-wing doors and brushed stainless-steel outer body panels."

Final Plea

I'm a very blessed man. I have an amazing wife, beautiful children, and overall an amazing family. I'm very happy and proud of my career path here at Townsquare Media.

All I'm asking is simple- I just want to ride in one.

I'm not asking to drive it, I'm not asking you to go 88 (yet), and I'm not asking for you to let me borrow it. I want a free ride, and a photo. That's it. I'm asking for you to put up with maybe an hour of movie quotes, asking about your experience with the car, and just becoming quick friends.

I know I've personally seen one in New Hartford driving around, and Syracuse. I KNOW there is one in CNY somewhere.

Please help me accomplish this nerdy request, before I get too old. I'm not the type of person to ever make a big deal out of birthdays or anything of that nature. I'm only asking now, to plant the seeds and find someone before October.
