The Eli Young Band is excited to get back to playing music after being off the road for more than a year. One of their first stops is FrogFest 32 at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds.

Eli Young Band headlines FrogFest 32 on Saturday, September 18 and the guys couldn't be more ready to get back to work. "We've never taken this much time off," said Mike Eli. "We just kept telling ourselves to appreciate the time we have. Then once it got to a year, it was let's appreciate the money we still have, because we didn't know how long it would take until we got back on the road."

The boys are back and they're in town Saturday to perform all their chart-topping hits, including 'Drunk Last Night,' 'Even If It Breaks Your Heart,' 'Crazy Girl' and 'Saltwater Gospel' that they recorded with Jimmy Buffet. "Saltwater Gospel came out when the pandemic hit and not many people were hanging out at the beach," Eli said. "It may not have been a number one hit but it made a huge impact on our fans."

"We're looking forward to a couple of parrot heads in the audience from now on," joked Jones.

Before ending the interview we played a round of rapid questions with Mike and Jon to see if we could find out some things you may not know about the Eli Young Band. Here's their answers....

Biggest Pet Peeve

Both Mike and Jon agree "COVID and pandemics" are their biggest pet peeves.

Guilty Pleasure

Mike has a soft spot for chocolate.

Jon needs the stage. "I didn't realize it until we got on the road it was being in front of an audience. I didn't realize how much I missed it and need it in my life."

Perfect Day

Jon likes to spend his day sleeping in and then taking a hike.
Mike prefers something on the water. "For me, anything that has to do with water on a hot day, pool, ocean, lake."

Bus Stock

"Snacks," Jon said from the Costco parking lot. "I'm stocking up as we get back on the road. It looks like a college fridge."
"Mixers" joked Eli.

Favorite Movie

Both Mike and Jone agreed on Shawshank Redemption.

Top Dinner Guest

Springsteen is who Mike would have over as a dinner guest.
Jon picked Jimmy Buffett. "He's so fun to hang out with on Zoom, there's something that gets lost in translation, so it'd be fun to meet in person."

After being canceled twice already, you can see the Eli Young Band in person at FrogFest 32, September 18, presented by Curtis Lumber. "We are excited about playing music and playing Saltwater Gospel and just getting out there to sing some songs," said Eli.

"It's gonna happen," Jones said while crossing his fingers.
