Youth Goose and Pheasant Hunt Coming to Oneida County – Ag Matters
Department of Environmental Conservation will be hosting two hunting events for youth in Oneida County. The annual Goose Hunt and for the first time ever, a pheasant hunt, both are scheduled for the weekend of September 25 and 25.
The 6th annual youth Goose Hunt is a two day event to be held at the Cassety Hollow Fish and Game Club. There is an educational day beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 24th and the hunt is Sunday, September 25th. The first annual Oneida County Youth Pheasant Hunt is also Saturday, September 24th, and is hosted by the Boonville Fish and Game Club and Oneida County Sportsmen Federation. All interested youth hunters must possess a New York State small game license, and register with the Harvest Information Program. The event is absolutely free to the participants and all equipment will be provided if necessary.
