Mother Nature may create a slippery commute to kick off the work week. Winter storm warnings and weather advisories have been posted across New York.

The National Weather Service is predicting anywhere from 1 to 5 inches of heavy, wet in parts of New York. And wind gusts that could cause power outages.

Heavy, Wet Snow & Winds

The heavy, wet snow that began overnight on Sunday will turn into lighter lake-effect snow Monday afternoon and evening. Gusty winds could create whiteout conditions just in time for the commute home and falling temperatures may cause wet roads to become icy.

Power outages are also possible due to the heavy, snow.
