The National Weather Service is warning Upstate New York that a winter storm could bring up to 8 inches f snow in Central New York, while other parts of the State could see up to 16 inches on Sunday.

All eyes are on a low pressure system that is expected to bring nightmarish travel conditions as soon as Tuesday.

A significant winter storm is charging toward the East Coast and could bring a sloppy mix of rain and snow starting Saturday night.

If you plan on traveling on Wednesday, Governor Kathy Hochul says you need to change your plans immediately.

Slow down if you have to travel on snow covered roads. Speeds have been reduced on a number of highways throughout New York state as the winter storm continues to hammer the east coast.

Travel could be tricky in central and upstate New York. The National Weather Service has issued weather advisories and Lake Effect Snow warnings for a storm that could bring snow squalls with near white out conditions.

It looks like the Utica/Rome area will be spared from the massive winter storm about to hit the Northeast.

To live in Central New York, you have to be tough. You have to be tougher than most people.
