The Ilion Civic Band has been entertaining Valley residents for 30 years and they're looking for a few talented musicians to round out their ensemble.

Earlier this month the Ilion Civic Band put out a call to local wind-instrument players, saying they will be in need of 3-4 more players.

Specifically they are looking to add both tenor and baritone saxophone players, as well as one or two tuba players.

If you or anyone you know would like to expand your musical resume or would simply like to play with a group again, contact the Ilion Civic Band through their Facebook Page or at IlionCivicBand.com.

The Ilion Civic Band plays a series of outdoor concerts throughout the Village of Ilion during the months of July and August. These free concerts combine musicians of professional caliber with gifted amateur adults as well as talented college and high school players. The goal of the Ilion Civic Band is to bring an evening’s entertainment of good music to the public in the form of these weekly summer concerts.

The band plays in and around the Village throughout the summer, including during the annual Doo-Dah Parade where they mount a float and play for parade spectators.
