George Strait Loses His Father

Our thoughts are with George Strait and his family after he loses his dad John Strait. There's no details on how he died but he passed days after George's last concert of 2013 on the Cowboy Rides Again tour.

John Strait was retired teacher and lived in the town George was raised in.  Both grieved after George's brother John 'Buddy' Jr died in 2009 at just 58 years-old.

At least John Sr got to see his son have 60 #1 hits before he turned 60.  George just celebrated his 60th birthday on May 18th.

KABB in San Antonia says funeral services are set for Thursday June 6th.
