What was planned as George Jones' Final Concert in Nashville will now be a Final Tribute.  Jones' widow, Nancy announced today that the show scheduled for the Bridgestone Arena  November 22 will continue as planned minus George.  Click for more details and the list of artists performing.

Nancy says she hasn't been able to contact all the artists that were scheduled to perform that night, bt may have approached her to say they'd like to make it a final tribute to the "Possum."

“Everyone has been asking if we will still do the show,” says Nancy Jones. “I have asked Garth, Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson and others and they all said ‘yes, I am still going to do it’

The original show was already a sellout, it'll be interesting to see if more tickets become available.  Personally I think there will be a live stream of the event similar to George's funeral.  The family continues to accept personal messages from fans here.  Nancy says she'll continue to update the concert plans at George Jones.com
