The run of great weather is coming to an end this weekend.  For some, the season's first lake effect snow is forecast while everyone will see temperatures plummet from near 60 to near freezing.  Click for the details.

According to the National Weather Service, lake effect snows will begin late Friday night and continue into early Sunday.

LAKE EFFECT SNOWS WILL DEVELOP LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND PERSIST THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NEW YORK. DURING THIS TIME FRAME... SNOWFALL TOTALS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 3 TO 6 INCHES WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS LIKELY SOUTH OF SYRACUSE ALONG THE INTERSTATE 81 CORRIDOR TOWARDS CORTLAND.
