The story that broke America's heart is heading to court. Brandon Hinman, who lost his wife Jenna Hinman after a two month battle with a rare pregnancy related cancer, is in court this morning after being arrested for check fraud last July.

Hinman is facing a felony charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument and grand larceny for trying to cash checks from an account set up to cover Jenna's medical bills. Donations poured in for Hinman after she gave birth to her twin daughters. Azlynn and Kinleigh were born premature in March and have been staying with Jenna's parents, Kim and Jeff Blaisdell since being released from the hospital in April .

The Blaisdell's told police, Hinman took thousands of dollars from the account set up for Jenna, starting before Jenna passed away in May 2014. According to court documents, the account was closed after Brandon forged a check for Jenna's funeral.

The fund set up for the twins at GoFundMe.com was not affected.

Jenna's tragic story touched thousands of lives around the world. Her courageous cancer battle and birth of her adorable twin daughters was shared through Facebook, where friends, family and strangers prayed and showed their support. Following her death, Jenna's Facebook page changed to Twice Blessed: Jenna's Legacy, to keep the public informed on the growth of Kinleigh and Azlynn. The family decided to close the page and step back from the public eye in January.
