Air Force Falcon Goes Missing

The Air Force football team has an actual live mascot, a falcon.  If you have ever seen one of their games, they release the falcon, it flies around the stadium and returns to the handler.  During the pre-game ceremonies for the Independence bowl it didn't return.

According to the ESPN2 broadcast, The Bird eluded his handlers for the better part of three quarters before finally being spotted downtown, corralled and hustled back to the stadium for the victory party as the final seconds ticked down on the Falcons' win.
