A Winter Weather Advisory is calling for sleet, freezing rain and windy conditions in Central New York.  The National Weather Service says the advisory will last from  12pm today until 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Madison and Southern Oneida Counties will be affected. Light snow accumulation is possible, and will eventually change to sleet and freezing rain.

The snow and icy conditions could cause travel problems with slippery roads and sidewalks.

A Wind Advisory is also in effect this afternoon with possible gusts of 50 MPH in the higher elevations.

Scattered power outages are possible from the windy conditions.
