Joshman loves making people happy. On World Down Syndrome Day, the 10 year-old West Winfield boy wanted to spread smiles while raising awareness for those with down syndrome.

"Watching Joshman make people happy is a normal occurrence for us," says Joshman's dad Neil Case. "It truly makes him happy."

Joshman spent the day handing out balloons and treats at the Mirabito gas station, New York Pizzeria, the library, and neighbors. "As usual, Joshman got a lot of hugs, high fives, and endless smiles," says Neil.

The 2 young girls seen helping Joshman in the touching video above are 2 of his close friends. "It's so important for peers to be involved with Joshman. It takes a village to raise a child."

It's hard to say who got more satisfaction from Joshman's random acts of kindness; the recipients or Joshman himself. "Wouldn't be nice if everyone saw the world through Joshman's eyes," says mom Jeanne-Marie. "He's always so kind and loving."

Josh is our 'Hometown Hero.' We salute you! Keep spreading smiles.
