Video Highlights of George Jones’ ACM Awards and Appearances

The Academy of Country Music has put together a video highlights package of George Jones' Awards and Appearances on their annual awards show.  It features some classic moments including his double win in 1981, his duet with Ray Charles and a brief reunion with ex-wife Tammy Wynette.  Click to watch some highlights of George being George.

While Jones' received a list of awards longer than your arm, only a few were from the ACM's.  The group didn't organize until 1964 and their first focus was to promote country music in the western part of the United States.  By the time Academy partnered with Dick Clark and became more mainstream in the late '70's the majority hits from the "Possum" had already happened.  Even with that, their highlight reel is pretty extensive and very moving as well as funny at the same time.
