A 25-year-old Washington County man is under arrest and facing a drunk driving charge following a traffic stop on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

New York State Police in Wilton stopped a driver, later identified as Dylan J. Lyon of Fort Edward, after troopers allege that he was driving south in the northbound lane of I-87 in Moreau just before 6:00am.

In a written release the NYSP says that the trooper who stopped Lyon "could smell the odor of alcohol and observed signs of impairment. Lyon was administered roadside sobriety tests, which he refused to complete."

Lyon was taken into custody and brought to the State Police barracks in Wilton.  He provided a breath sample, according to police, of .24% B.A.C.

He is scheduled to appear in the town of Moreau Court to answer the charges on April 20, 2022.
