What was an open field is rapidly becoming one of the biggest equine therapy center in the northeast! The Upstate Cerebral Palsy Root Farm, when completed, will be a place where horses will be used as treatment to help people work toward life goals and adapt to limitations they may have being either physical or developmental. Construction began in the spring of 2015 and is expected to be opened and fully operational by the fall.

It's not just equine therapy that is being offered at the Root Farm. The farm is being built on the land of Camp Ronald McDonald, an organization that has partnered with UCP for a little over 20 years! In addition to the services provided by horses, the Root Farm will offer additional programs such as fine arts, maple syrup and honey production, a huge chicken coop and much more! The agricultural projects and products will eventually be sold to the public and at farmer's markets in an effort to help sustain operating costs for the farm. For more information on the Root Farm visit their Facebook.
