Can you imagine driving on the highway and seeing a truck with turkeys tipped over? Well, some good came out of this story from California. A local food bank was able to receive over 30,000 pounds of Turkey for the holiday season.

UPI reports The California Highway Patrol said the truck carrying a load of frozen turkeys destined for a Costco store overturned in the early hours Wednesday. The driver was treated for minor injuries, and a passenger was uninjured. However, the turkey soon became a huge problem turned blessing.

The highway patrol said the turkeys can't be sold in stores after being spilled on the road, but they were kept safe in cardboard boxes and a health inspector approved them for donation to the Alameda County Food Bank in Oakland."

Imagine that: an accident caused a lot of good for families this holiday season.
