Trisha Yearwood celebrated her birthday over the weekend in Dallas by doing two things: 1) performing for her fans, 2) finding an additional and very personal way to interact with them.

Even though it was Trisha's birthday, fans were the ones who received the gifts on Saturday. Trisha took part in a book-signing at a Dallas-area WalMart store, spending more than three hours signing copies of her most recent book, "Trisha’s Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life".

That evening Trisha celebrated her birthday onstage as she and Garth played the third and fourth of their seven record-setting shows in the city, a run that began Thursday night and wraps on Tuesday. Garth surprised Trisha with dozens of roses and a four-foot tall birthday cake to mark the occasion. During their show, he and the more than 35-thousand Dallas fans on-hand sang “Happy Birthday” to Trisha.

My birthday...bigger and better in Texas! Thank you for a wonderful night! xoxo trisha #gbtyontour

All of this goes hand-in-hand with Trisha’s outlook on life these days.
