There's a storm a brewin' and it could hit us hard in central New York.

The National Weather Service is calling for the possibility of strong thunderstorms developing this afternoon, lasting through tonight in Oneida and Madison counties. A few storms may be severe with damaging wind gusts and hail.

If that isn't enough, heavy rainfall could produce isolated flash flooding in areas saturated with all the recent rain.

Look what happened in Lee Center last night. Luckily no on was injured but Lexi Smith says "it's a reminder of the power of Mother Nature."

The weekend looks better. There's just a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday morning. Then we'll see sunshine by the afternoon and Sunday. Highs both days in the upper 70s.
