This Is Why You Should Slow Down In Winter Weather

An accident involving a tractor trailer and a toll booth barrier on Christmas morning prompted Thruway officials to warn drivers to slow down in icy conditions.

In a Facebook post the NYS Thruway Authority shared the photo below, with a warning that "When snowing drivers should adjust to the conditions and slow down at all times while approaching toll booths."

Be sure to use caution when driving in any hazardous conditions like snow, sleet, rain or even extreme cold.
