Congrats goes out to two Upstate New York breweries. Why's that? Both took home gold medals in the annual beer competition at the Great American Beer Fest.
One of the best aspects of the craft beer industry is the continuous flow of new seasonal products. One local brewery that is particularly good at this is the Ommegang Brewery in Cooperstown, NY. They are one of Men's Health Magazine's "Best Beers for Fall," and will be featured at America On Tap coming to Vernon Downs.

HBO's "Game of Thrones" is a critically acclaimed hit and Cooperstown's Brewery Ommegang produces a number of critically acclaimed beers so it's only natural that the two partner up. According to their website the brewery will launch "Iron Throne", a blond ale, in connection with the shows March 31 third season debut. The partnership won't end there.
Cooperstown is known for the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Farmer's Museum and Otesego Lake. But now, its being recognized for its food. Food and Wine Magazine named Cooperstown one of six 'Best Little Food Towns,' focusing on four restaurants.
