Shania Twain has come a long way since her poverty stricken teenage years in Timmins Ontario Canada.  The top-selling female country artist of all time now has a permanent place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Shania's four albums have become multi-platinum sellers in 32 countries.

Fans lined up, cameras in hand as Shania's star was unveiled yesterday.  Bo Derek, who met Shania when her late husband, John Derek, photographed her was on hand to introduce Shania.

Instead of creating a new speech for the ceremony, Shania used words from her autobiography, "From This Moment On," that seemed to fit the event and her overwhelming feelings.  She told the crowd "it's a beautiful honor and I'm humbled by today.  It's a day I'll never forget."

If you've missed hearing new music from Shania, your wait is almost over.  A few weeks ago we posted a video of Shania working on a new song called "Today is Your Day."  She's finally finished working on the song  and it will be available June 12th after she premieres it on her show "Why Not?" on the OWN network.   You can get it on iTunes following the song and we'll have it to play on the radio too.   It's the first song Shania has written in six years.  She broke the news on her website.
