Severe Weather Coming Tuesday Afternoon For Central New York
It appears July will arrive in Central New York bringing severe weather. Here's the latest report from the NOAA/Nation Weather Service of Binghamton.
The CNY area is defined by the NWS as the following cities and regions: Syracuse, Utica, Ithaca, Elmira, Binghamton, and Oneonta.
We are looking at a round of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon into early tonight. Damaging winds and potential flooding are the primary threats. However: Large hail, and even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Dangerously high temperatures are expected late afternoon/early evening for the Finger Lakes region and the greater Syracuse area.
