Rome Students Honors Veterans by Placing Flags on Gravestones

Students in Rome took time to honor the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom, by placing flags on their gravestones.

Rome Free Academy JROTC students placed the American flags, provided by the Henry P. Smith Post, on veteran's graves at St. John’s cemetery in Rome Wednesday, May 15, just before Memorial Day, a day where those who died in active military service are remembered.
