Price Chopper May Be Sold For $1 Billion
A national supermarket chain called Albertson Companies is in talks to buy Price Chopper. The Times Union reports that the talks are in advanced stages, and the price would be $1 billion.
Price Chopper has 130 supermarkets located here in New York as well as in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Albertsons is the second largest grocery chain in the U.S. with more than 2,200 stores.
