Did you happen to get some tears in your eye during the Super Bowl? It wasn't watching the biggest mistake in football history when the Seahawks made that interception with seconds left on the clock, it was when you watched the Nissan Dad commercial.

If you're not familiar with the song in the ad, it's "Cats In The Craddle" from Harry Chapin. The song personally always makes me upset, and text my Dad. The song serves as a warning against putting one's career before family. It reminds you to pay attention to the things along the journey of you grabbing your pot of gold.

"Cats in the Craddle" always makes me think of my relationship with my Dad. It may not always be the greatest, but it gets me thinking back to when I was a little boy. I remember the day my Dad bought me a baseball glove. I was in second grade, had the chicken pox. I remember once I was better, and once the weather warmed up, he taught me how to play catch. I remember begging him to play each night. I'm sure he was exhausted after working out of town most of the week, but always made time to play. I think back to how excited he gets on Christmas time with the family being together, I think back to how I have a lot of good traits from him, and some negative at time.  The song is always a tear jerker for me.

This commercial really stood out above everything this year to me. It kind of showed a new era of commercials during the game. We left the cheesy humor/sexy ads, for a more pull on the heart strings. They defiantly hit it out of the park with this one.
