This police department in Western New York just welcomed its newest member to the team, and it's safe to say she's the cutest of them all.

The Jamestown Police Department shared photos of its new yellow Labrador Retriever Tuesday afternoon on its Facebook page. The puppy, fittingly named Hope, will be the department's first comfort dog, and will assist victims of traumatic events, providing comfort, support and lovable puppy snuggles as best she can.

It seems Hope is already off to a great start because we already feel comforted just from looking at her adorable face in these pictures!

While comfort dogs are an important addition to any policing unit, that doesn't mean they can't be a little silly, or even naughty, from time to time.

A comfort dog in Massachusetts went viral in 2019 after Officer Cusson with the Franklin Police Department caught the golden retriever taking a toy from the department's toy drive for himself.

"We learned an extremely valuable lesson today," the department wrote on its Facebook page. "When you have a classroom full of toys ready to be shipped off to the Santa Foundation, you should... 1. Close the door to the classroom or 2. Keep the toys elevated. If not, a golden retriever will slowly hoard them throughout the day and bring them back to his lair."
