It's official. The Buffalo Head restaurant in Forestport, that's been closed since last October, will re-open next month.

Rumors of new owners last month became a reality. Tom and Debra Timmerman who own Keyes Pancake House in Old Forge bought the restaurant for $385,000.

The couple hopes to re-open by mid-November and tell WKTV, "the plan is to keep the same nostalgic atmosphere the restaurant is known for."

The Buffalo Head closed unexpectedly last October, upsetting many snowmobilers who often stopped at the restaurant. The re-opening is sure to make a lot of north country winter enthusiast happy.
