Mother Nature Postpones Maddie Phaneuf’s Olympic Biathlon Event
Mother Nature is causing problems at the 2018 Olympics. Windy conditions have postponed several events including the biathlon that Old Forge's Maddie Phaneuf was taking part in.
Phaneuf was scheduled to compete today, Wednesday, February 14th but will have to wait another day. The 15K individual biathlon will now take place Thursday at 5:15pm. But if you want to watch, you'll have to get up early because that's 3:15am in central New York.
A viewing party was planned at the school in Old Forge this morning. No word if they'll reschedule for early tomorrow morning.
Upstate New York came out in full force to show their support for Phaneur and Remsen's Erin Hamlin, who ended her Olympic luge career in 6th place earlier this week.
