More Pizza Huts Close, Some in Central New York

Pizza Hut may soon be a thing of the past. After closing several stores, more are shutting their doors in central New York.

The following Pizza Hut stores in CNY are closed according to Syracuse.com.

Genesee St. in Chittenango
Erie Blvd. E. in DeWitt
S. Salina St. in Nedrow

Pizza Huts in East Syracuse, Cicero and Baldwinsville remain open. The fate of the New Hartford store is unknown after calls to the restaurant went unanswered and no voicemail or machine picked up.

Tina Marie Bouffard says she started the store in Chittenango in the 80s. "I was packing and crying. It's so sad to see it close."

The Rome Pizza Hut remains open "for now" said one employee who couldn't comment any further.
