Moe's CEO Paul Damico in Town For North Utica Grand Opening

Moe's Southwest Grill President and star of 'Undercover Boss,' Paul Damico welcomes thousands of people to Moe's every day. We got to welcome Paul to TownSquare when he was in town to celebrate the grand opening at the new North Utica location.

New North Utica Location

The new location is the second in the area, with plans to open another in Rome. The first Moe's Southwest Grill in our area opened in New Hartford and it's the highest grossing location in the entire company of 500+ restaurants.

Fresh, Fast & Healhty Choices

Damico says the family style burrito restaurant is known for their fresh ingredients, 'you don't need microwaves or freezers to run a restaurant. Whether it's a burrito, a taco, a salad, a stack or a quesadilla, you have over 20 fresh ingredients to choose from to customize your meal.' They have healthy options and you 'can splurge a bit if you want.'

Order Ahead

Don't want to wait in the long lines at the new location? Damico says there's an app for that. 'It's an ordering app so you can order ahead, come into the restaurant and pick up your food.'

Damico wasn't the only TV celebrity in town to celebrate the grand opening.

Catering

In addition to the order ahead app, Moe's Southwest Grill also caters to you. We enjoyed a catered lunch the other day, with all the extras, and the only thing better than a catered lunch is leftovers.

Undercover Boss

Damico appreciates the team of people it takes to run Moe's Southwest Grill, all over the world. He rewarded just a few of those hard workers when he appeared on Undercover Boss, 'it was more about taking care of others than it was about finding cracks in the organization.' Damico says the experience was more than just appearing on a reality show, 'It was one of the most emotional things I've ever done in my life.'

Growing Fast

Moe's Southwest Grill is quickly expanding. Damico says they will be opening restaurants every 2 or 3 days until the end of the year, with plans to open 100 more next year. There are even locations in Moscow and Costa Rica and talks of expanding into Canada. Soon I can enjoy Moe's in Utica AND when I go home to Gananoque.
