Every year, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is always on the kitchen TV in the Greg "Splashin' McShea household. For baby boomers like me, that parade is a must on Thanksgiving morning, and for our kids generation, many of them have grown up with it too.

The parade is broadcast live from New York City on Thanksgving morning on NBC-TV. Here are the details according to NBC's website:

"NBC officially kicks off the holiday season with the live broadcast of the annual MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE from New York City. Broadcast on NBC since 1948, America's most beloved procession marches in the holidays with dazzling doses of spectacle, enchantment and tradition."

"The 86th annual parade takes to the streets of New York City, with Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker hosting the festivities for NBC.
