A local pizza joint that had closed it's doors earlier this year is back open.

After a short period, John's Pizza in Marcy is open and serving locals once again.

John's closed earlier this year after the previous owner said he was having trouble staffing the restaurant, especially with pizza makers.

The new ownership isn't having that problem though.

In fact they renovated the shop, and reopened the doors on Monday, September 18 with a new owner, but the same food you're used to.

John's Pizza may be best known for their tomato pie that has been voted 'Best in Utica.'
