Local musician Shawn Smith, of the band Showtime, may be on the new season of 'The Voice.'  He has been tight lipped about his audition since coming into the station last February to perform for Bill Keeler on our sister station WIBX.  Today, he posted this I Auditioned photo on his Facebook page.

Although we may have lost Utica Illusionist Leon Etienne on 'America's Got Talent,' we may have another local making it big on a reality show.  There's no word on whether Shawn's audition will air, but you can tune in to NBC, Monday September 23rd at 8pm for the season premiere.  We're crossing our fingers for Shawn.  We hope he makes it a long way.  I'm hoping he makes Blake Shelton's team; the team that has won the past 3 seasons in a row.

Since Shawn is in the band Showtime, with Keith James, who works for our sister station 96.1 WODZ, we may get the inside scoop.  We may, but I doubt it.  Whenever we hear, we'll be sure to let you know.

Watch Shawn's performance last February.
