Kids Fishing Derby Coming Up In Rome

Grab the kids and their rods and reels and head to Rome to see how good a fisherman they are.

The Rome Knights of Columbus and the Rome Fish Hatchery are sponsoring the annual Rick Lefevre derby on May 19 at Wood Creek, Guyer Field.

No need to register, just show up ready to fish at 10 a.m.

The derby has three divisions:

Prizes will be offered for first fish caught, largest fish in each division and smallest fish in each division.

It's the perfect event to introduce your kids to fishing and friendly competition.
