Let's be honest. The dead of winter is here and when it's below freezing, you don't want to be outside for long periods of time. That's why it's so great that there's a place close to central New York where it doesn't feel like winter.

The Lamberton Conservatory in Rochester provides a space of tranquility, lush greenery, and even a few friendly animals year-round, even when there's feet of snow surrounding it. Just check out how pretty everything looks from this visitor video:

To make things even better, the conservatory is open seven days a week and is super affordable. It's open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $3 for adults. Senior tickets are $2 and kids and teens up to 18 are completely free. Seasonal passes are also available for $10 and family passes for $30, if you decide you want to come back time and time again.
