Garth Brooks was set to kick off his comeback tour in Dublin, Ireland with 5 concerts July 25th-29th. After two out of the five were cancelled, Brooks decided he would do all of them or none. Finally, due to some of the local residents objecting to 5 shows in a row, all five ended up being cancelled.

With his last daughter graduated from High School and off to college, Garth originally announced some kind of a tour back in December of 2013 on Good Morning America. The Dublin shows were supposed to be the ones to kick it all off. Instead over 400,000 fans will have to be refunded for tickets already purchased. The decision came from the Dublin City Council to cancel the last two of the five concerts.

According to MusicRow.com Garth Brooks released this statement in regards to the cancellation of the first two concerts:

I can’t thank the people of Ireland enough for how welcome they have made me feel, I have faith that Dublin City Council will make the best decision for the people of Ireland. For us, it is five shows or none at all. To choose which shows to do and which shows not to do, would be like asking to choose one child over another. However this plays out, Ireland has my heart and always will.

As it turns out, they decided against all the concerts and so Garth will have to pick somewhere else to start his world tour!
