Gander Mtn Stores Return To CNY Under New Name

Last year we learned Gander Mountain stores across the country would be closing their doors, including the location in New Hartford. Now a new owner is putting the stores back to work.

You can start looking for the newly-branded 'Gander Outdoors' stores to pop in around New York within the coming months.

Syracuse.com is reporting five stores will re-open around Central New York in 2018 including the Cicero location that is already up and running.

The other 4 locations in NY will be in Kingston - opening later this month, Watertown - Opening in May, Plattsburgh - opening in May and Tonawanda - opening in July.

The 65,000 square foot Cicero location will hold a Grand Opening ceremony this Saturday at 9 a.m.
